A Christmas Message to My Valued Clients

A Christmas Message to My Valued Clients

As Christmas nears, I want to take a moment to thank you for sharing your highs and lows with me this year. It has been an honour to support you and to be trusted with your most meaningful experiences. This year, you’ve shared with me moments of profound courage: starting new jobs, grieving the loss of partners and significant loved ones, welcoming the joy of new children, working through the deep pain of infidelity, and wrestling with the confusion of life’s purpose. Each of these moments reflects your strength in showing up for yourself—whether by navigating heartbreak, leaning into uncertainty, or finding joy in new beginnings. Thank you for letting me be part of these deeply personal journeys.

The carol O Little Town of Bethlehem speaks of “The hopes and fears of all the years,” a line that beautifully reflects the mix of emotions many of us feel during the festive season. For some, it’s a time of joy, connection, and hope. For others, it’s a time of reflection on challenges, losses, or uncertainties. Whether you celebrate Christmas, another holiday, or simply take this time to rest and reflect, it’s okay to approach the season in your own way. It’s natural to feel both hope and fear at this time of year, and both are okay. This season can be whatever you need it to be.

Caring for Yourself This Festive Season

The festive season—from the lead-up to Christmas through to the New Year—can feel full and overwhelming, but even small acts of self-care can make a big difference. Here are some reminders to support your wellbeing:

  • Set emotional boundaries. Give yourself permission to step back from anything that feels overwhelming. Saying no is okay.

  • Be mindful with alcohol. Enjoy the celebrations, but limit overindulgence to protect your mood and energy.

  • Rest and recharge. Make time to relax, sleep, and do things that help you feel calm.

  • Create moments of peace. Take a mindful walk, write in a journal, or listen to calming music.

  • Celebrate your progress. Reflect on the strength you’ve shown this year, even in small ways. Every step forward counts.

Take a moment to pause and choose one small act of care that feels meaningful to you this season. Even the smallest steps can make a difference.

If You’re Struggling

If things feel overwhelming, please remember that Lifeline is available 24/7 on 13 11 14. You don’t have to go through difficult moments alone—someone is always there to listen.

Holiday Availability

I’ll be available for sessions during the holiday period on Friday, 27th December and Monday, 30th December, before returning to my regular schedule from Friday, 3rd January. If you’d like support during this time, don’t hesitate to book a session—I’d be glad to work with you.

Looking Ahead

The post-holiday period can feel like a dip after the festive rush. If this happens, know it’s normal. Small routines, rest, and connection can help you transition back to daily life. Reflect on what you’ve learned about yourself this year—the growth, the resilience, and even the lessons from the challenges. These insights can guide you into the New Year with clarity and strength.

Whenever you feel ready to reconnect, I'm here to support you in processing the past or planning for the year ahead. One step at a time, we’ll continue your journey together.

Sending every good wish for a Christmas filled with kindness and a New Year filled with clarity and strength to all.

Luigi
